McDOWELLs to celebrate 40th wedding anniversary

Ron and Bea McDOWELL of Mount Pleasant will celebrate their 40th anniversary with an open house hosted by their children from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at Veterans Hall in Mount Pleasant.

The McDOWELLs were married July 4, 1970, in Salem. Their children are Teri and husband Jeff STOLTZ of Donnellson and Charlie and wife Wendy McDOWELL of Mount Pleasant. They have 8 grandchildren.

Mr. McDOWELL retired from Henry County Health Center in April 2007. Mrs. McDOWELL works at Iowa Wesleyan College.
