Jefferson County Probate Journal #3, Page 345, dated April, 1863

Now comes Ann E. TROXELL who is the mother of James R. PETERS, Mary M. PETERS, Isaac H. PETERS, and Mercy PETERS, minor heirs of John W. PETERS, deceased, and also the mother of Lucinda TROXELL, minor heir of Strawder TROXELL deceased, and asks that the Court may appoint Dr. Henry REAM as the Guardian of the estate of said minors....

James Ruben PETERS, stepson of Strawder TROXEL, was born 15 May 1845, in Rush County, Indiana. See Pension File No. SC 352159, National Archives. Had smallpox at Brownsville, Texas, while in the army.
