Lifestyles SectionZAHNs celebrate 50th with open house in Ottumwa
Steve and Jo Ann ZAHN of Ottumwa will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration open house from 1-4 p.m. Aug. 3 at The Hotel Ottumwa Grand Ballroom in Ottumwa.
The celebration is being hosted by their children and grandchildren: Lisa of Des Moines, Lori of Ottumwa, Pam of St. Paul, Minn., and James Stephen, deceased. Grandsons Steven and Scott of Ottumwa and Allen of St. Paul, Minn., are also hosting the open house.
Steve ZAHN and Jo Ann CANAAN were married Aug. 3, 1958, at the First Methodist Church in Unionville, Mo., with the Rev. E. Stanley Ray officiating.
Mr. ZAHN owned The Shoe Den and The Northside Bootery in Fairfield for many years, and Mrs. ZAHN was the office manager of Parkview Care Center in Fairfield. The couple later owned and managed motels before retiring to Ottumwa.
