"Fairfield Ledger" Marriages, November 19, 1868

November 17, 1868, at the residence of the bride’s father, Joseph BALL, Esq., by Rev. A. AXLINE, Mr. Alex. R. BURNS, of Alleghany county, Penn., and Mrs. Cynthia H. KIRKPATRICK, of Jefferson county, Iowa.

The happy groom came “away out West,” and wooed and won a treasure. The rule is to go East and win a bride, but our friend BURNS has a true appreciation of the products of Iowa. May he realize his fondest anticipations. The fair bride has our heartfelt wishes for her prosperity and happiness. May she realize the full measure of her bright anticipations.
