Mrs. Thomas McElwee

- Thursday being the birthday of Mrs. E.E. Litton, a number of relatives gathered with well-filled baskets at her home to eat dinner with her. Among them were her twin brother, D.S. Barton and Mrs. Barton, Mrs. Fred McWilliams, Mrs. Lizzie Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Elry Litton, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Litton and Burton, Mrs. Arthur Litton, Mrs. Mary and Edna Church, Myrtle Watson, Mrs. Thomas McElwee and William, F.C .McElwee, Harold Church and Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Litton. In the evening Messrs. And Mesdames John and Jim Bower came with supper and spent the evening. Wright Church, Betty and Lester Litton were also evening callers.
- Mrs. Jay Barton and Wesley visited Friday with her aunt, Mary Church.
- C.O. Elliott received word Sunday of the death of his uncle, John Elliott, of near Memphis, Mo. Mr. Elliott went Sunday afternoon and Mrs. C.O. and Nathan, Mrs. Jane Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. John Bower went early Tuesday morning for the funeral at nine o’clock. The burial was to be at Springfield, Ill.
- Mrs. C.S. Bishop spent Wednesday with her daughter, Mrs. Carroll Crane.
- Mrs. Thomas McElwee entertained Thursday evening at supper in honor of her father’s birthday. Those present were the honored one, D.S. Barton, Mrs. Barton and Dale, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Barton and family, Mrs. Jane Elliott, F.C. McElwee and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McElwee and William.
