THEY OWNED 'TATER HILL'. (Photos of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad BLOSS) A pioneer couple who came to Jefferson County from Virginia in 1851. They owned a section of land north of Stone Street to where the present south boundaries of the college now run. Their dwelling place was across the road from that of Mose McCOID. Their piece of land was known as 'Tater Hill'.
