In a Line or Two About Those You Know

- Mr. and Mrs. Sam Arnold moved to Mt. Pleasant Saturday.
- R.R. Berg is improving the interior of his cafe by a coat of paint.
- Carl Rupp was brought home on Monday afternoon from the Fairfield hospital.
- Mrs. Ida Mummert of Galesburg is visiting with her brother, Fred Graff and wife.
- Richard Bogner spent the first of the week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Arnold.
- A.F. Johnson, who is now located at Davenport, spent Tuesday evening with his family.
- The James Keller family have moved into the Erickson property recently vacated by Mr. and Mrs. Sam Arnold.
- Mr. and Mrs. Frank Engwall went to Rochester, Minn., Sunday where Mrs. Engwall will go through the clinic.
- Mrs. Kirk, who has spent the past several weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Anna Beaber, will return to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Pence.
- The name of Ernest Aronson was left out of the telephone book by mistake. He has a Lockridge phone and his number is 811 the same as in past years.
- Paul Rauscher who has been in the Navy for a number of years, is now located at Mare Island. This is where Mrs. Emma Vorhies three sons are now located.
- Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Sprott moved their household goods Wednesday to 1005 East Washington St., Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Sprott will manage the D-X service station on West Washington St.
- Twenty friends of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Sprott surprised them Tuesday evening. At a late hour sandwiches, pickles, cookies and coffee were enjoyed and all left wishing them much happiness in their new home.
- Leslie Linn was returned to the Iowa City hospital Sunday evening, where he underwent an operation Tuesday morning on his nose, and a message Wednesday said he would undergo a second operation this morning.
- Miss Arlene Rivey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rivey, has accepted a position as stenographer and bookkeeper in the office of the Muerhoff Electric Co., Ft. Madison, Iowa. Miss Rivey has been attending the Ft. Madison Business College since last September.
