HOMES OF FAIRFIELD. 401 W. Hempstead. Mrs. Eldon BOWERMASTER. Built by Philip HOFFMAN in 1857 and his home for years afterwards. In his early days and until later life he was a carpenter and built many houses.

Note: 1966 -- Mr. and Mrs. James Eldon BOWERMASTER (she b. Cleo PENCE) continue to occupy the home at 401 W. Hempstead.
