From the Prill Transcriptions, regarding a stone for Phebe CUSICK in Fell Cemetery ~~

Note: In the 1860 Census, Phebe CUSICK, 64, born New York, was living with the John H. HOUD family.

----

[Transcriber's note: The surname looks more like HAND to me than HOUD. The family is indexed as HAND; these people were not living in Des Moines Township in the 1856 Iowa Census.]

From the 1860 U. S. Federal Census, Iowa, Jefferson County, Des Moines Township, Microfilm Series M653, Roll 328, Page 218; Dwelling #223, Family #213; Page #34, Census taken June 14, 1860 ~~
