Charles R. "Dick" ALLISON, Fairfield's Fire Chief since 1967, will retire Oct. 1, 1971. His retirement will terminate a family membership on the fire department extending well beyond a half-century. Dick's father, Charles ALLISON, served as a member for 50 years, the last ten as chief, before his retirement in March, 1965. The combined length of service of father and son covers a total period of 71 years, no doubt a record for the Fairfield Fire Department....
