Looking for information to the connection between Abby Paul and Newton. I ran across a death notice in 1923 that said she was from a wealthy family but died at the Jasper County home. The article stated that she came to Newton (via Minnesota and Des Moines) from New Jersey after suffering financial ruin. Her husband’s name was Nelson Paul.
