In Response To: Leonard Booth - Sams Cemetery (Colette Miles)

Today we took a drive to Sam's cemetery. It is a beautiful setting way out in the country. We had to drive through a path by the cornfields. Off to one side it seemed like you could see a long way. The other three sides had corn and you could not see anything.

We located Leonard's grave and took pictures.

I could not locate a death date, just could barely make out the letters for his name. The stone was broken and what should have been on the top part was broken off and leaned on the back side of the grave. There were no other graves around his unless they were hidden in the grass with no stone. Judging from the other graves with similar stones, we guessed maybe 1860 to 1890 but would have no way to prove that.

If you have a smart phone I could send the pictures what we took to your phone and you could get them instantly. You could send me your phone number to my gmail account. jimsfirstwife@gmail.com. I am also on facebook.
