Mary Barth, b. ca. 1862

BARTH, WARNER

I am trying to find out more about a Mary Barth who married my great-grandmother's brother, Elvin K. Warner Jr., probably around 1880-1881. I have found her in Newton Twp. in the 1880 census with her parents George (Prussian farmer) and May and numerous brothers and sisters (Martin, George, Philip, John, David, Herman, Ruth, and Lena). I think she married Elvin shortly after, because she is listed on the birth record of her daughter, Cora May Warner, on 29 July 1881. I believe that Mary did not long survive (I'm still looking for a death record), since Cora is living with her Warner grandparents (Elvin K. Sr. and Martha Warner) in the 1885 census and was brought up by them. Her father, Elvin, died in 1899 in Watsonville, CA. I have seen the Lutheran Church death records for George, Mary (mother May?) and Herman Barth on the Jasper Co. page.

Any information welcomed!
