I am looking for any information From any source regarding the dates of service for my Father, Leslie Allen Forsyth b. Nov.30 1895, in Lynnville Ia. during WWI, and any other information regarding his service. He is listed in "Boys of Jasper County", but with scant information. Are there newspaper archives that would have any information. Because of Iowa State University records, He would have served between June 1, 1918 and Sept 1, 1919. He received Officer training for the Navy at Great Lakes Naval Station during summer and fall 1918, and was commissioned sometime after Armistice Day, Nov 11, 1918.

Any information would be appreciated.
