The problem here is that your photo is Jasper County, ILLINOIS, and this is Jasper County, Iowa. The similarities are amazing in that the county seat is also Newton.

I looked up the correct place for you to put your query. If you click on the address at the bottom of this message, it should take you to their pages. At first it appears as if the page is under construction, but scroll down and you'll find a place to submit queries.

I noticed that the photo is in a book at the Newton Public library, so you might be able to contact them and ask them to photo copy the picture and any information.

OR you might e-mail the coordinator of the page, Angela at jasperilgenweb@aol.com and ask her directly how to go about getting a copy of the photo.

I did search for the name on the county page and didn't come up with anything. That just means that the name as spelled is not listed on the site.
