Fred Wade Obit- November 25, 1990

COLFAX--Fred Wade, 91, a longtime resident of Colfax, died Sunday, Nov. 25, at the Riverview Care Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax. The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery. Friends may call at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax after noon Tuesday. Memorials to the Howrd Street Christian Church will be accepted.

Survivors are a daughter, Edith (Mrs. Wilford "Smokey" Morrow) of Colfax. Three grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two step-sons, three step-daughters, and three sisters, Ila Camm of Denver, Colorado, Della Perry of Newton and Jessie Stevens of Colfax.

Mr. Wade, a member of the Howard Street Christian Church, was a retired Maytag Co. employee and a truck gardener. The son of Guy and Margaret Booth Wade, he was born Jan. 7, 1899 in Colfax. He was married to Ann Gerhart and later to Rose Dickerson.
