Searching for parents of WILLIAM VAUGHAN, born Aug. 23, 1823 in Canada. Census states his parents were born in N.Y. Died April 1, 1900. Buried in Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg, IA.
He moved to Jasper Co. in 1865 from Schuyler Co. Missouri. Was one of the founders of the M.E. Church in Kellogg, belonged to the I.O.O.F lodge. Married to Malinda Powell Vaughan. Had 12 children. I am the great granddaughter of William and Malinda. My grandfather, John, was the eldest son of William.

I am hoping that someone can look up information on anything relating to the names of William's parents or siblings. Thanks,
