The first reunion was held Sunday, 29 July 1928, at MacRae Park, Des Moines. The second reunion was held Sunday, 28 July 1929, in Albia IA city park. 1936 Headline: ÒTURNER FAMILY HOLD NINTH ANNUAL REUNION:
The ninth annual reunion of the Turner family was held at Merrill Park, Grinnell, on Sunday, July 26, 1936. In spite of the extreme heat, there were 81 present. The morning hours were spent by visiting and getting acquainted. After a bountiful basket dinner, a business meeting was held and a short program was given.Ó Present were:
