Exline Murder Info

In August/September of 1893, a Joseph Exline was murdered in a carpenter shop near Moulton. I am trying to find out if this man was my gg grandfather who was born around 1832. Joseph was married to Mary Ann LEVERING, but the last time I can find them living together is in the 1880 US census. I am posting this on the Jasper County site because Joseph and Mary lived in Jasper County as well and I have had no response from the Appanoose County site. Thanks for any help or direction you can provide.
