Can anyone verify the parentage of Thomas Stanton Dennis, (1870-1951), who is buried at Newton Union Cemetery and spouse of Gertrude Ida Besack Dennis? Parents shown as Azariah and Emily Brooks Dennis in Newton Union Cemetery listing as shown on your GenWeb site. According to the 1880 Federal Census, Newton, Jasper Co, IA, no son named Thomas, age about 10 is shown with Azariah and Emma Dennis. My research indicates Thomas is the son of John Wesley and Rebecca Jane Hart Dennis and born in Ohio.
