Hello Ray, maybe I should say, Cousin Ray , I am Lori Huber, a direct descendent of Joseph Frank Haines. His father was Daniel Haines and mother was Nancy (Nee?) Haines. They had 12 children, most were born in Putnam County, Indiana. One of the children, a daughter, was in fact Mary b. about 1846. Daniel and Nancy Haines moved their family from Indiana to Jasper County, Iowa sometime between 1850 and 1857. I haven't proof yet that your Mary Etta Haines is from my branch, but the evidence (Mary's child being named Joseph Franklin) makes it highly likely. Have you any further information since this post that may link our lines?
