Susan,
Have you had any luck yet with your query? I am battling a dead end in Jasper County Iowa. My GGrandfather (George Dennis) lived there and had several children while there. I believe he was married there also. The only record I can find to substantiate that yet is a marriage between George Dennis and Mary Ritter Dec 12, 1867. I know George was married to a Mary (and times and dates fit) but don't know her maiden name. Does Mary fit into your family that you are researching?
