Ronald Lee Sholl Sr., 69, of Monroe died Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
A graveside memorial service will be today, July 19, 2010, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter. There will be no visitation. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The son of Charles I. and Edith (Kirkendall) Sholl, Ronald was born on February 18, 1941 in Galesburg, Illinois. On November 30, 1968, he was united in marriage to Mary Ruth Davis. Ronald also proudly served in the United States Air Force. Ronald was a Tool & Die Maker and worked at OMC in Galesburg and Maytag in Newton.
Those left to honor his memory, his wife Mary of Monroe; children, Ronald Lee Sholl, Jr. of Monroe, Eric Lee Sholl of Ankeny, and Julie Ann (Lonny) Van Winkle of Monroe; his grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Rinehart of Galesburg, Illinois, Joni Ann Rinehart and Daniel Joseph Wood of Galva, Illinois, Jessical Florence (Jason) Dop of Reasnor and Leanna Marie (Justin) Rasmusson of Rock Island, Illinois; great grandchildren, Jacob Brennan Johnson, Virgil Wayne McGlothlin III, Taylor Mae Pendroy, Kaden James Sportsman, Chloe Lynn Rasmusson, Tessa Marie Rasmusson, Lilly Ann Wood, Carter Lee Rasmusson, and Tuner Joseph Wood as well as a brother, Richard Sholl. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Patricia Hallsy
