Rites Today for August Hasselman, Sully Resident

Sully (Special) - Funeral services for August Hasselman, who died Saturday at the age of 79 at the home of his son in New Sharon, were conducted today at the First Reformed Church by the Rev. Charles Stoppels.

Prayer services were held in Mr. Hasselman's home in Sully before the church service. Burial was in the Dairy Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Al Wichman, Elmer Gooch, Rollo Brigon, John VanderKrol, Jess Willemsen and Henry Willemsen.

Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Rollo Brigon, Mrs. Al Wicham and Mrs. John VanderKrol. Soloist was Lyle Brand.

Mr. Hasselman was born near Red Rock, May 10, 1875. He married Alice Van Weerkum, July 27, 1892. He had been a farmer until they moved to Sully 28 year ago. ~ Newspaper unknown
