Gladys Clement Dies Thursday; Services Monday

BAXTER -- Miss Gladys Clement, 78, a resident of Ankeny for five years and former resident of Jasper County, died Thursday at the Iowa Luthern Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter. Burial will be in the Ashton Cemetery, west of Baxter.

Survivors are five nieces and six nephews, including Robert Clement of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a half-brother and a half-sister.

The daughter of Abe and Emma Berry Clement, she was born Nov. 18, 1899 at Colfax.

Miss Clement also had resided in Newton, Farrar and Des Moines. ~ The Newton Daily News, February 24, 1978.
