Funeral services for Helen Day Shuey, 81, of Rt. 5, Newton, a resident of the Newton area since 1987 were held today in Mexico, Mo.

She died Thursday in Madison, Conn.

Survivors are two sons, Edward D. of Newton and G. Kenneth of Madison, Conn., and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1977.

Mrs. Shuey was a member of the PEO and First Lutheran Church.
