Barbara Ann "Bobby" Clarke, 74, of Newton died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, in the Monarch Wing at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton, with Chaplain Merle Smith officiating. A private burial will be at a later date in North Dakota.

The family will greet friends prior to the service and also immediately following the service with a coffee time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center. Memorials may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home.

The daughter of Edward and Anne Buzalsky, she was born Jan. 13, 1931, in Slope County, N.D. She graduated from Bowman High School in Bowman, N.D., in 1948. She had lived in Newton since 1951. She worked for the Vernon Company for 27 years, retiring in 1996 from the credit department. She enjoyed bowling and playing bingo, and she was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.

She is survived by two sons, Dari (Susie) Clarke and Larry (Patti) Clarke, both of Newton; two daughters, Bonnie Clarke and Jody Clarke, both of Newton; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; her mother of Bowman, N.D.; and a brother, Gilbert (Ruth) Buzalsky of New England, N.D.

She was preceded in death by her father and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
