Margot L. Jones
December 14, 1925 - September 22, 2024

Margot L. Jones and Robert P. Jones will be buried at Colfax Cemetery on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024. There will be no visitation. Robert passed away September 17, 2008. Margot passed away September 22, 2024. They will be buried together.

Margot was born in Germany on December 14, 1925. She lived to be 98, almost 99. Robert was born July 10, 1929 and passed at age 79. They lived in Eaton, Colorado after Robert's (Bobs} retirement. They traveled Europe and the United States while Robert was in the Army, which he served in for 20 years. He was a very young Master Sergeant at 21 years old. They were both dog and cat lovers, sharing their lives with many special ones over the years. Robert loved to read, gardening, and spending family time together. He was truly the glue that held our family together. Margot came to Colfax from Germany after marriage to Robert and they both returned as often as possible over the years to visit Robert's parents, Paul and Mary Jones, of Colfax. Margot's superpower was shopping, she loved a good sale. She also loved flowers and had beautiful African violets and other houseplants she nurtured through the years. She made the best potato salad and was a great baker. In later years she took up quilting. Margot also loved playing cards with the family and sharing stories about her adventures in life. Robert was proud of his service to this country and Margot loved being an American. They were both preceded in death by their parents and siblings.

They leave behind 4 children, Debra (Debbie) Bartlett, of Wyoming, Kenny Jones, of Colorado, Patricia McDonald (Bryan) of Texas and Jeane Stravers, of Colorado. As well as four grandchildren, Hillary Jones (Greg) of California, Margo Black (Drake) of Wyoming, Ellie Stravers, of Colorado and Andy Stravers (Christina) of Colorado, and two great grandsons, Stone Black of Wyoming and Dean Stravers of Colorado.

They are together again now, will forever be loved and missed by friends and family.
