COLFAX - Robert Bryan Ward, 53, of Colfax died Monday, July 30, in Colfax.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Colfax First Baptist Church with Pastor Dan DuRocher officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Burial will be at Colfax Cemetery. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home where the family will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted in his name.

The son of Leslie Reed and Alice (Grosvenor) Ward, he was born July 14, 1949, in Colfax. On May 21, 2000, he married Denise Bailey in Colfax. He was a carpenter for Stielow Windows and Siding in Colfax.

Survivors include his wife; four step-sons, Michael Bailey, of Maryland and Oscar, Gabriel and Joshua Bailey, all of Colfax; two step-daughters, Juliana and Clara Bailey, both of Colfax; a half-sister, Marlene Santiago of California; a sister, Margaret Ward of Colfax; three brothers, Richard Ward of Indianola, Bill Ward of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Jim Ward of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother.
