Died at the family residence, north of Colfax, Saturday evening, Aug. 25, 1894, of typhoid fever. Mrs. Katharine Morgan, aged about 38 years. The deceased leaves a husband and six small children to mourn her loss. The funeral was conducted from the house on Sunday afternoon, by the Rebekah and Odd Fellow lodges of Colfax, the deceased being a charter member of the Colfax lodge. The services at the grave by Mrs. J. H. Chew, N. B., and Mrs. A. W. Johnson, acting V. G., of the Rebekahs’ were participated in by the Odd Fellows. A large audience assembled at the house to pay their last respects to the dead, and follow the remains to their last resting place at the McKeever cemetery.
