Mrs. Kennedy Dies Tuesday

Jasper County Pioneer, Resident in This County for Many Years Dies Last Evening

Mrs. Thomas [Cornelia E. Sims] Kennedy, 64 years old, died at her home, three and one half miles west of this city at 6:30 o'clock Tuesday evening. She had been ill for nearly four weeks, the cause of her death being a complication of diseases.

Mrs. Kennedy had been a life-long resident of Newton. She was born on a farm one mile west of Newton and she lived there until her marriage to Mr. Kennedy, when she moved to the home where she passed away. She is survived by her husband, one brother, William Sims and two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Halliwill of Mitchellville and Mrs. Mary Ramsay of Nebraska. She was a member of the Christian church of Newton.

No arrangements have been made for the funeral service. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa, April 30, 1919.
