Kirk Stock of Vilonia, AR, went to be with our Lord on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, after living a full 69 years on Earth. He was born June 23, 1952, in Marshalltown to Eugene Stock and Zetta Rae (Butler) Stock.
He is survived by his wife Bulah Stock of Vilonia, AR; his children and grandchildren: Erika (Brad) Harlan (Wyatt and Garrett) of Mount Vernon, AR, and Kolby (April) Stock (Klara, Kyson, and Kort) of Redfield, KS; his brothers Kyle Stock and Kent Stock of Iowa and Kelly (Kim) Stock of California. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
Kirk grew up a farm kid in central Iowa and graduated from Lynnville-Sully High School as a multi-sport athlete and active FFA member. He was also a junior college collegiate wrestler. After college, he then pursued a lifelong career in agriculture. He moved to Arkansas in 1975, where he worked with Kenneth Hill and family on their cattle operation in Vilonia, AR. His dreams then led him to Bailey, MS, in 1978 where he built and managed Clayhill Angus Farms for six and a half years. Upon their return to Arkansas in 1985, he worked multiple jobs as a laborer. He finished his career always connected to agriculture. His later years, he spent following all five grandkids in their multitude of activities and competitions ranging from rodeos to ball games and everything in between.
He lived life to the fullest, always cheerful and boisterous. He wasn’t the kind of man to be sitting around. If he didn’t have a job to work on, he was creating a project. His huge streak of generosity that always provoked him to help others led him to spend many years as a 4-H volunteer, leaving his mark upon the local youth he interacted with.
In lieu of flowers, all donations will be passed on to local 4-H clubs and FFA chapters to support the youth he loved.
