MONROE - Betty A. Sille, 83, died Saturday, March 15, at Clearview Manor in Prairie City.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Walters Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Pastor Ann Rouse of the Monroe Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Silent City Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Monroe Presbyterian Church.

The daughter of Dirk and Johanna (Freeken) Sille, she was born May 2, 1919, in Monroe. She worked for 39 years at Iowa Power in Monroe and Knoxville and was a member of the Monroe Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed flowers. She lived in Monroe until she went to Clearview Manor in 1999.

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Maxine Sille of Newton; a sister-in-law, Margaret Sille of Newton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
