Agatha Phelan, Valeria, Dies
Agatha Phelan of Valeria, Ia., died this morning, according to reports received here.

Colfax, Ia. (Special to The Daily News – Funeral rites for Agatha Phelan of near Valeria, who died Monday morning will be held at the Valeria Catholic church Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock. The Rev. C. Phelan, priest of the St. Ambrose Cathedral of Des Moines, Miss Phelan’s cousin, will be in charge of the rites.
Burial will be in the Holy Cross cemetery near Valeria.
Miss Phelan, about 54, lived all her life at the Phelan farm home north of Valeria. She had been in ill health, suffering from a malignant disease for over six months.
Immediate relatives surviving are her mother, Mrs. Alice Phelan, three sisters, Mrs. Katie Blink of Rhodes, Ia., Mrs. James Moore of Valeria and Grace Phelan, at home, and three brothers, Dan Phelan of Valeria, Patrick of Emmetsburg and Vincent of Iowa Falls.
Her father, the late William Phelan, died several years ago.
