Prairie City Man, 76, Dies
C. D. Patterson Rites to Be Conducted Saturday Afternoon
Prairie City, Ia. (Special to The Daily News) – C. D. Patterson, 76, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Millie Pearson at Earlham, Ia., Thursday evening about 7:20 o’clock.
Mr. Patterson lived around Prairie City most of his life, coming here at the age of 16 years. He had been bedfast the past two years and his condition became serious four months ago.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Christian church at Prairie City. Interment will be in the Waveland cemetery.
His wife died seven years ago.
Surviving are eight children, Mrs. Bessie Bell of Oklahoma, Mrs. Millie Pearson, Mrs. Hazel DeValt of Earlham, Mrs. Harold Stoner, William Patterson, Jack and George Patterson, Mrs. Henry DeReus, Jr., of Prairie City. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren an 11 great-grandchildren.
