O. J. M’Collom Dies in Hawaii
Mr. and Mrs. Homer McCollom of Maytag Farm No. 8, R. F. __ will go to Unionville, Mo., ___ to attend funeral services for his brother, O. J. McCollom, 42, who died two weeks ago last Sunday at Lihue, Kauaii, Hawaiian Islands. Mr. McCollom was a teacher in the public school there and had been ill a month. He had lived in the Hawaiian Islands the past 12 years.
When he first took ill, his mother, Mrs. George McCollom of Unionville went to Hawaii to be with him and she will return with his body.
Funeral services were held and his wife and two children will remain at Lihue until after the school term is over. Mrs. McCollom also instructs in the Lihue school.
