Woman, 75, Baxter, Dies
Mrs. George Johnson Entered Marshalltown Hospital March 19
Baxter, Ia. (Special to The Daily News) – Mrs. George Johnson, 75, died Thursday afternoon at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown. She was taken to the hospital March 19.
Mrs. Johnson was born Jan. 1, 1866 at Gering, Nebr., and moved to Iowa at the age of 18. She had lived in Baxter the past 55 years.
Surviving are her husband, ten children – Mrs. Cy Huffacker of north of Baxter, Leo of Marshalltown, Ray of Des Moines, Mrs. Nora Peterson of Minneapolis, Minn., Clifford of Newton, Clint of California, Mrs. Loren Gerhart of Baxter, Mrs. Arthur Sandhoff of Wichita, Kan., Bennie of Chicago and Hilton of Champaigne, Ill.
Funeral arrangements were being made this afternoon.

Johnson Rites
Baxter, Ia. (Special to The Daily News) – Funeral services for Mrs. George Johnson, 75, who died Thursday afternoon in a Marshalltown hospital, will be held at the Boyd Funeral home here Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock with the Rev. D. E. Arnold in charge. Burial will be in the Restland cemetery.
