Grinnell Rites Saturday for Earl Howell
Word has been received here of the death of Earl E. Howell of Cedar Falls, formerly of Kellogg and Grinnell, who died Tuesday at 4:30 o’clock of a heart attack at his home in Cedar Falls.
Funeral services are to be conducted Saturday morning at the Brown Funeral home in Cedar Falls at 11:00 a.m. and a short service will be held at the home of his wife’s mother, Mrs. Lela Crooks, 217 Park street, Grinnell at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Hazelwood cemetery at Grinnell.
Surviving are his widow and five children, Mrs. Sidney Hansen of Cedar Falls and Freda Mae, 16, Roy, 12, Carol, 9, and Ardith, 6; his mother, Mrs. Nellie E. Howell of Marshalltown and four sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Ella Eggert of Fredericksburg, Ia., Cecil Howell of Newton, Mrs. Sylvia Seydell of West Liberty, Ia., Mrs. June Johnson of Marshalltown, Merlyn Howell of Newton, Mrs. Dorothy Eggert of Kansas City, Mo., and Roy Howell of Mountainburg, Ark.
