T. L. Couch Dies Wednesday At Knoxville
Thomas Lee Couch, 63, a resident of Newton until six years ago, suffered a stroke Tuesday and died Wednesday evening about 11:30 o’clock at the home of his son, Alfred Couch of near Knoxville. He had made his home with his son there since leaving Newton.
Mr. Couch was born in Newton Sept. 20, 1877, the son of Richard and Anna Shenton Couch and had spent practically all his life in this county as a farmer.
He is survived by three sons, Alfred of Knoxville, Darrell of Newton and Clarence of Rock Island, a daughter, Loretta of Elgin, Ia., and also a brother, Bert of Newton, and a sister, Lillie of Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Murdoch Funeral home with interment following in the Memorial Park. Rev. Charles Hollis will be in charge.
