August 9, 1942 ~ February 8, 2024 (age 81)

Patricia Ann (Cart) Lindly, 81, of Newton died Thursday, February 8, 2024, at her residence. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Those interested in attending, please contact Donald Lindly II at (641) 799-0991 and leave a message. Memorials in Patricia’s name (checks payable to Donald Lindly II) may be left at the funeral home.

Patricia, the daughter of Herman and Edna (Snyder) Cart, was born August 9, 1942 in Knoxville, Iowa. She graduated from Knoxville High School and most recently worked as a follow-up clerk at the Vernon Company. Patricia was united in marriage with Donald Eugene Lindly on February 5, 1966, at the First Baptist Church of Knoxville. She enjoyed bowling, going to the casino, attending her grandkids sporting events, and all sorts of card games including pinochle, hand and foot, yahtzee, and cribbage.

Patricia is survived by her children, Donald Eugene (Tammy) Lindly II, Diana E. Hughes, and Doris E. Sloan; 11 grandchildren, LaTashia (Jason Johnson) Aboud, Ashley Moser, Beth (Aaron) Andrew, Tiffany (Mike Kurnes) Lindly, Leslie (Billy) Cox, Evan (Miya) Carter, Danielle Lindly, Donnie Lindly, Jennette Resch, Amanda Feeney, and Ed Feeney Jr.; 24 loving great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bonnetta Constant of Knoxville and Debbie Cart of Lisbon; and many friends and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Lindly; brother, Richard “Sarge” Cart; son-in-law, Vee; and her cat, Oscar.
