Elizabeth F. DeGreef, 82, of 200 S. 8th Ave. E. died of heart failure Monday, Feb. 24, at USA Healthcare in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Newton with the Rev. Ed Aubuchon officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in rural Newton. Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Hospice of Jasper County. The memorials may be left at the funeral home or at the church the day of the service.

The daughter of Jacob and Hendrika (Kingma) DeGreef, she was born July 29, 1920, in Buena Vista Township in rural Jasper County. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was an ordained minister and evangelist with the Assembly of God Church for 50 years.

Survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Connie DeGreef of Newton, Jake and Freda DeGreef of Kellogg and Bill DeGreef of Newton; a sister, Bertha DeGreef of Newton; a sister-in-law, Lucille DeGreef of Newton and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a nephew.
