Davis - At the residence of Maj. S. S. Patterson, in Newton, April 15, 1881, Mr. Charles T. Davis, aged 26 years, 1 month and 9 days.

Deceased was born at Tiffin, Ohio, March 5, 1855. At the age of 15, he had a severe attack of fever, since which time he has been an invalid. Four months ago he was taken with severe bleeding of the lungs, since which time he has gradually failed, until death came to his relief.

He was an accomplished musician, active and energetic, and gave promise of useful manhood.

The family have the sincere sympathy of many friends in their affliction. ~ The Journal, Newton, Iowa 21 April 1881.
