Allen D. Majors, 51, of Newton died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, in the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

No services or visitation are being scheduled. His body has been cremated. Burial will be in Arkansas at a later date. Wallace Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

The son of Vence and Ruby (West) Majors, he was born Dec. 27, 1953, in Batesville, Ark. He was a graduate of Highland High School in 1972 in Ash Flat, Ark., and received a bachelor of arts degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark., in 1977.

On June 1, 1979, he married Leanne R. Staub in Jonesboro, Ark. He was a medical tech in Arkansas and at Skiff Medical Center for 10 years. He has been a resident of Newton since 1983. He enjoyed model railroads, hunting, fishing and shooting target practice.

Survivors include three sisters, Doris (Bill) Hauch of Eau Claire, Mich., Sue (Dennis) Clayton of Augusta, Ga., and Sharon (Dennis) Shucker of Ash Flat, Ark.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Vernon Lee Majors and Ronald Scott Majors.
