PRAIRIE CITY — Betty Ann Booth, 77, of Prairie City died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Prairie City Church of the Brethren. Burial will take place in Griffiths Cemetery.

Visitation will be held today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Betty Booth Memorial Fund.

The daughter of Rudy and Carolyn (Anderson) Geiger, she was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Des Moines. She graduated from Wayne State College with a double major in music and elementary education. She continued her education later in life, studying music at Drake University. She began teaching and had several jobs before she and Lee Booth married.

Following their marriage, they settled in Arizona. After her husband died, she returned to Iowa and moved to Prairie City. She played the organ at the Prairie City Church of the Brethren, where she was a member. She enjoyed volunteering at the Prairie City Elementary School.
