Pioneer of County Dies
Nelson H. Listen who has lived in Jasper county for three score and ten years, died Saturday morning at 2 o’clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Cynthia Pahre, in Adamson Grove after a lingering illness suffering from cancer.
Mr. Listen has been engaged in farming all of his life in jasper county and a large share of that tie was spent in the Adamson Grove neighborhood.
Mr. Listen never married but spent a part of his time with his sister, Mrs. Cynthia Pahre. At the time of his death was 74 years of age.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at the home of Mrs. Pahre in Adamson Grove.
