Aged Lynnville Man Dies
Ira V. Morrell was born in Oswego, N. Y., Dec. 3, 1850, died at Lynnville, Iowa, Feb. 8th, 1925, being 74 years 2 months and 5 days old. His parents moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, when he was 3 years of age, then they lived at Vinton, Benton County, Iowa, ‘till the spring of 1861, when they moved to Scott County, living there until the fall of 1868, when they moved to Jasper county. He lived here until the spring of 1875, when he went to Calif., where he lived for 49 years.
His health failing, he came to Jasper county to live with his only sister, Mrs. Albert Gause, Aug. 17th, 1923.
He was a member of the Linden, California Lodge of Odd Fellows for over 40 years.
He leaves to mourn his passing two brothers, Otis of Oklahoma City, and George W., of Dexter, Minn., and Charity Gause of Lynnville, Iowa.
