Mrs. Julina Jackson (better known as Gould) was born in Vermont, and died at the home of her niece, Mrs. G. A. Mahan, near Kellogg, Iowa, Aug. 23rd, 1889, aged 66 years. Her maiden name was Braley, and she came to Iowa in 1853, and lived in the vicinity of Kellogg until about 18 years ago, when she removed to Colorado and thence to San Francisco, California, where she has since resided. At the time of her death she in company with her daughter, was visiting in Kellogg. At her own request the funeral services were conducted at the M.E. church by Rev. A. W. Haines, and on Sabbath, Aug. 25th, a large number of relatives and friends gathered to pay a tribute of respect to a worthy woman.
