Rosemary Lamb, age 83, of Waldron, Arkansas (formerly of Colfax), passed away on June 24, 2023. A graveside service for Rosemary will be held at McKeever Cemetery on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The daughter of Andrew Maddison and Edith (Anderson) Maddison, Rosemary was born on January 26, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up in Colfax and graduated from Colfax High School in 1958. In 1959, Rosemary was married to Omar Lamb. Throughout her life, Rosemary was never afraid to work. She worked for 29 years as an assembler at Maytag, and was always busy doing something. She enjoyed golfing, and she was a gold medal winner at the Iowa Olympics. Rosemary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her and her sister Doris were known to many as “Thelma and Louise.” She was always fond of wine tasting and kayaking with her daughter, Roseanna. Rosemary just recently moved to Arkansas where she enjoyed fishing, and has some big fish pictures with Lonnie. She was looking forward to traveling and exploring the land.
Those left to honor Rosemary’s memory include her son; Lonnie (Mary) Lamb, 7 grandchildren; Andraea (Cartlon Turner) Lamb, Shanna Snodgrass, Jamie (James) Sills, Dennis (Elizabeth) Hall, Denise Hall, Wendi (Jason) Cupples, and Krista Clark, her sister; Doris (Joe) Emerson), 15 great grandchildren, and her dog, Camilla.
Proceeding Rosemary in death are her parents, husband; Omar, a daughter; Roseanna Lamb, and siblings; Richard Maddison, Ruth Birkenholtz, and Bonnie Weyers.
