Minnie Berry Dies Wednesday; Rites Saturday
Baxter – Mrs. Elmer (Minnie) Berry, 97, of Meridian, Miss., a longtime resident of the Baxter community, died Wednesday morning in Meridian.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Baxter.
The Rev. T. A. Thompson, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Restland Cemetery in Baxter.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter is handling arrangements.
Survivors are two sons, Myron of Ramsey, N.J., and Albert of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Bernice) Baker of Clearwater, Fla., and Mrs. Glen (Lovone) Ball of Meridian, Miss.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1945 and a daughter.
The daughter of Ilia and Euretta Koon Westbrook, she was born Oct. 13, 1888 at Ira and attended Ira schools.
She was married to Elmer Berry Feb. 2, 1910 in Des Moines.
