Edward L. Pitcock Rites to Be Held Tuesday at Colfax
Colfax (Special) – Funeral services for Edward L. Pitcock, 73, who resided in the Colfax community the majority of his life, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Walters Funeral Home at Colfax.
The Rev. N. G. Clayton, pastor of the Colfax Christian church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in McKeever cemetery.
Military rites will be held at the cemetery.
Mr. Pitcock died Saturday at the Iowa Soldiers Home in Marshalltown where he had resided for the past 9 years.
Mr. Pitcock is survived by a sister, Mrs. Aurilla Ware of Newton, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Pitcock farmed in the Colfax area for many years.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. William Pitcock, he was born June 15, 1886 at Greencastle.
